This commercial item description covers a pad for use as padding or dressing in postoperative treatment.
Salient characteristics: Pad, Abdominal, covered with bleached gauze or nonwoven fabric.
Class 1 – Nonsterile
Type I - All absorbent cotton or a mixture of cotton, rayon and cellulose.

tolerance - plus 0 minus 1/2 inch wide (plus 0 minus 1.27 cm)

Type II - Nonabsorbent backing. Fiber with a backing of unbleached nonabsorbent cotton.
